Did Someone Pick Us Up and Move US to Buffalo?

I feel like the Philadelphia region was mysteriously picked up by aliens and deposited in Buffalo! What's with our weather?!
I don't mind snow - I kind of like it, and big storms, however, this has been a crazy winter.
Last weekend the mid-Atlantic region was hit with a 2nd big storm (more than 20 inches) this year, while just north of us escaped. New York and New England have really not had snow this year but we are sure being pounded with it.
On Saturday, February 6th, the official measurement at the airport was 28 inches. Another storm is hitting tonight.....this one more powerful! The snow totals should be about the same however we are expecting blizzard conditions. That fact has me nervous with the weight of all the snow, coupled with high winds, could certainly mean loss of power! If that happens, it could be days to fix.
Like I said, I don't mind snow, but this potential wind has me nervous.

Here are some pictures from the other day.

I know I've been kind of quiet and neglecting my blog and blogging in general - one of those moods I guess.
Keep your fingers crossed the winds leave us alone.

Oh, wow, Beth, that would be too much snow for me. No, I take that back - if I could stay home, cozy and snug, I wouldn't mind. But if I had to go out and go to work - not so good! It does look magical, though, doesn't it?! Hope you are doing well!! Love, Silke

I too have been wondering about our weather here in NJ...your photos could very well have been taken in my yard. Matter of fact my husband has those same coveralls and goes out snowblowing in them! lol The wind can be a problem, I always worry about trees coming down and taking out the power or part of the roof.

Your pictures show what I had feared for you-SNOW!!! But it is good to hear from you and know you are ok through it all. I just hope you survive the next assault winds and all. Lorrie

Staying home is great - I love it - the snow is magical too and one of Mother Nature's greatest shows!
It is crazy though (the weather I mean).
Really hoping we stay safe with the winds though.

Hope it lets up soon. Of course, we've had no snow, but rain and today the wind is predicted to be 50mph. If it's sustained for any period of time, they will close the bridge and I'll be stuck on the island. But hopefully, the power will stay on.

I am glad this will all be gone when I get to see you again in August!
