Missing my Girl

Kind of sad today - my Katie left for the semester. She won't be home again until the middle of May. Things just feel empty or vacant at the moment. I know it will pass quickly.

The two of us went to the movies last night and saw a sweet movie, Leap Year, and then today I took the morning off to spend with her. I finished her laundry, we all went out to breakfast and spent the last hour together before George drove her to the airport and I left for work.
I miss my baby.

I sadly woke up this morning thinking I did not need to be quiet for fear of waking her.
I know....
time will fly by and we're tough and we can do it.
Thanks

Oh I bet it seems quiet around your home right now. As said above, May will be here before we know it. Thanks so much for checking in with me, and you always have a sweet comment. Have a wonderful weekend!

I don't have a daughter but I am missing my sister so I know how it is to be lonely. The house feels like there is a big hole in it when she is gone.

I know how you feel, but it does pass! My 2 daughters have been on their own for quite some time now, but they do come back home regularly and we have a grand time together!
Congratulations on "hitting the slopes" again!

I can really relate to this. My youngest went his first year to Northern which is about an hour or so from us. He hated it, so he moved out to Colorado and now we see him twice a year...only once if we don't vacation out there in the summer. It is so hard not seeing him and being able to hug him and see his handsome little face. :) We do talk on the phone and text and e-mail, but it just isn't the same.

Hang in there. The four months will go fast.
